MISSION (NEWS 1130) – People living in a townhouse complex in Mission are describing dramatic scenes following an early morning fire Thursday.
The fire broke out at around 1:00 a.m., leaving some people on Fraser Crescent with nothing.
“We just woke up at 1:00 a.m. to people screaming and trying to get all our neighbours out,” Natoya Ellis, who managed to get out OK, tells NEWS 1130. “It’s quite devastating.”
She says fire crews seemed to arrive “almost right away.”
At least three units in the complex were damaged by the fire, but it doesn’t look like anyone was hurt.
“The lower half where the fire occurred is completely, it’s gone. It’s probably going to be a tear down. So that’s devastating for the people who live in that section of the townhouse complex,” Ellis explains.
It’s unclear what sparked the fire.
